The GCA Hiwassee paddling trip on Saturday, July 4th will be coordinated by Carol Reiser and Brannen Proctor. This is a Class I-II trip for trained beginners and up. We will run from the put-in below the powerhouse to Webb Brothers Outfitters. Please contact Carol at 404-597-2128 for more trip information. If you have paddled with Brannen or Carol on the Hiwassee before, an email is OK to join the trip.   Email: creiser11@gmail.com.

We will self shuttle with our group only.  Please bring hand sanitizer and your mask for the shuttle and a snack bag to keep it dry.  Bring a large garbage bag to put your wet clothes in.

We recommend staying at the Gee Creek Campground in the Hiwassee/Ocoee State Park nearby. Hiwassee/Ocoee State Park Reservations
