Spring is here and we are getting out there to shake the rust off. Come join us for a trained beginner skills training trip.
We will be paddling the Cartecay River from Lower Cartecay Road to Stengal Mill Road. 2.4 miles of class 2 fun.

Key Strokes that we need to achieve boat control and have fun on the river.
How to read a river’s currents for your success.
How to go from one end of the river to the other? Peel outs, eddy turns, ferrying and surfing.
Practice Rolling if you want to.
to participate in this event, you should have the basics: A whitewater kayak, pfd, paddle, helmet, spray skirt and clothing suitable for Late March weather. Dry top, neoprene, no cotton.
You should also have some familarity with whitewater kayaking.
