About this event:

Created by Jana Rodgers Walker

Join Robert Weddle for his extremely popular and helpful combat roll clinic at the GCA Spring Extravaganza!  The clinic will begin at Smoky Mountain Meadows campground where we’ll take care of paperwork and go over some basics.  Then it’s off to the lake to assess your roll on flat water.  From there, we will head to the Tuckaseegee River for combat roll practice.  Robert knows all of the great spots on this river to practice rolling in moving water.  He and his support boaters will be there to help if you need a t-rescue.

You should have a solid flat water roll before signing up for this clinic.  This means your roll should be 100% in flat water/pool.  You should also be comfortable paddling on class 2 rivers such as the Tuck.   You will need to bring your own boat and gear including PFD and helmet.  A dry top or suit is also recommended since you’ll be upside down a lot and the water will likely still be pretty chilly.

There may be additional information to come from Robert so stay tuned.

This clinic will be limited to 10 participants so that everyone can get the attention and opportunities they need.
