I am the President of the Coosa River Paddling Club which hosts the Coosa River Whitewater Festival on June 3-5, 2011 in Wetumpka, Alabama.  I would like to invite you and your club members to the Festival.  www.coosariverwhitewaterfestival.com

I have enclosed a little information listed below about the festival which is in its 26th year.

Jackson Kayaks and Ripboard have donated a kayak and a river board for the raffle.  We think we are also going to have the donation of a hang gliding lesson and another riverboard but that is not guaranteed. The registration this year is only $30.00.  For that you will get a schwag bag valued around $50.00 or more if you are some of the first people to register because some sponsors only gave 200-300 items which will go in the schwag bag.  The smallest value of the schwag bag will be maybe $30.00.  We fill the bags in order of registration.  Included in the registration fee is schwag, door prize tickets, festival t-shirt, shuttle to the put in (take out is the festival grounds and campsite), camping, entry into all the events that you want to participate in, refreshments, live entertainment Friday night, party and live entertainment Saturday night, meal and refreshments Saturday night by Dreamland BBQ, free play boating clinic Sunday sponsored by Jackson Kayak.  The events this year are the boat races, play boating competitions for juniors, women and men, SUP-Riverboard-SOT competition, King/Queen of the wave, boatercross, classic ender and big air ramp.  Don’t forget your mountain bike because swayback bridge mountain bike trail is only a few minutes away and is actually located at the put in.  Register online with pay pal, credit cards, debit cards or the old fashion way by calling, filling out a form and mailing it in with a check.  The money raised by the festival is used for various environmental, safety, educational and access projects along this section of the Coosa River.
