Y’all have shown interest in the Chickamauga Canoe Trail so I thought I’d extend some hospitality. I grew up playing in this creek at various places along the trail. There’s a lot to see and do in my neck of the woods so I hope you can join me for more than one day. If you choose not to paddle the second day I hope you will take the time to see the interior of the park, Cloudland Canyon, Crockford Pigeon Mountain, Lookout Mountain, or one of the many other attractions the Chattanooga Area has to offer.

On Saturday April 24th we will paddle the West Chickamauga Creek from Gordan’s Mill to Alexanders bridge through the Chickamauga National Military Park. Sunday we’ll paddle from Alexanders Bridge to Battlefield Parkway.  This is a beautiful class I paddle   There will be a cookout out and camping following at my house. Bring a dish or buy a snack. I’ll provide Smoked Wild Hog. My back yard was part of an amphitheater  during World War 2. Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Al Jolson, and Ella Fitzgerald were said to have played here. This will be my first time coordinating a trip. I look forward to see you all.
